Product Description
The HL-850UE is a 5G indoor router and 5G indoor CPE that combines 5G SA/NSA cellular connectivity with dual-band WiFi 6 AX1800 in a compact desktop enclosure. As a 5G indoor FWA terminal, it lets operators deliver fixed wireless broadband to homes, offices and retail sites where fiber or cable is unavailable. Powered by the Unisoc V620 quad-core platform, it supports 5G download rates of up to 5.47Gbps in NSA mode and 4.67Gbps in SA mode, with LTE and WCDMA support.
Dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, 2×2 MU-MIMO and Mesh support connect home and office devices, while two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports provide wired access. Optional RJ11 VoLTE and eSIM configurations are available.
OpenWrt 24.10 provides multiple VPN tunnels, firewall controls, automatic or manual APN setup and static routing. TR-069 central management, local Web UI and remote FOTA/OTA updates simplify device administration. A watchdog and link self-recovery help maintain connectivity.
Maximum data rates are theoretical; actual performance depends on the network, signal conditions and connected devices.
What Is a 5G Indoor Router, 5G Indoor FWA and 5G Indoor CPE?
A 5G indoor router is a customer-premises gateway that converts 5G cellular signals into wired Ethernet and WiFi inside a home, office or retail location. The HL-850UE is a 5G indoor router built for fixed indoor deployments that need fast broadband without laying fiber.
5G Indoor FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) is the service model in which a mobile operator uses 5G radio to deliver broadband to a fixed indoor location — the router acts as the indoor FWA terminal (the “indoor unit”). Operators and ISPs use 5G indoor FWA to reach subscribers and businesses where fiber rollout is slow or impractical.
5G Indoor CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) is the hardware category that includes 5G indoor routers. As 5G indoor CPE, the HL-850UE combines the modem, router and WiFi access point in a single desktop device, so operators can ship one unit per subscriber for self-install.
In short, the HL-850UE is a 5G indoor router that serves as 5G indoor FWA equipment and 5G indoor CPE for operator broadband deployments.
